Welcome to My Blog! (Wait…I’m writing a blog?)

Hello to those curious enough to read this!

It’s currently midnight here in Austria, and for some reason, I’ve decided now is the perfect time to start writing a blog. Why, you ask? Honestly, I’m asking myself the same thing.

I’ve never been much of a writer. The last thing I wrote that wasn’t an email or a quick note was probably a high school creative writing assignment that I barely managed to finish. As for blogs, I don’t even read them—unless I’m frantically scrolling for a recipe and skipping past someone’s life story to find out how much salt I need.

But here we are. Midnight, Austria, and me writing a blog.

Why This Blog?

At this point in my life, I feel like I’m on a journey worth documenting—not just for myself, but maybe for anyone curious about what life as an emerging opera singer is really like. There’s so much about this career that goes unseen: the highs, the lows, the in-between moments that shape you as an artist and a person.

So, I’m not setting out to create a blog full of perfect, polished stories. This is more of an honest account—a way to share the behind-the-scenes of what I do, the challenges I face, and the things that inspire me along the way.

What You Can Expect

For now, this blog will be a little bit of everything:

• Life as an Emerging Artist: I’ll share what it’s like to navigate auditions, performances, and the unpredictability of this career.

• Living Abroad: I’m in Europe, which is an adventure in itself. Expect stories about the places I explore, the cultures I experience, and the occasional mishap.

• The Other Parts of Me: Opera is a huge part of my life, but it’s not allof it. I’ll talk about the food I love to cook, the people I meet, and whatever else pops into my head at midnight.

I’m not entirely sure where this blog will take me, but I hope it grows into something more than just a journal. Maybe it’ll resonate with someone else out there—whether you’re a fellow artist, an opera fan, or just someone who stumbled here by accident.
